* Every Bead Has a Story…
Kazuri, which means “small and beautiful,” in Swahili, produces handmade, one-of-a-kind ceramic beads in Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa. Each bead is hand shaped by local women employed by Kazuri. The beads are then polished and kiln fired, painted, and fired again.
The Kazuri Bead Company is a member of the Fair Trade Federation, an association of wholesalers, retailers, and producers whose members are committed to providing fair wages and good employment opportunities to economically disadvantaged artisans and farmers worldwide. |
